Since its formation in 1991, Omega Construction LTD has progressed into one of the leading indigenous owned construction companies in Uganda. It is under class A+ on the register of contractors for building, road construction and bridges. This is the highest class attainable in the country according to the Ministry of Works and Transport classification. Omega Construction LTD is also a registered member of the Uganda National Association of Building and Civil Engineering Contractors (UNABCEC). The Managing Director of the company is a former Secretary General of the Association (2003-2013).

Through participation in state / national level engineering construction projects, the Company has made significant contribution to the transportation infrastructure and peoples' livelihoods. The company has also carried out works regionally including Kigali, RWANDA.

The success of the company is based on the skills and quality of its professional team which is one of its main competitive advantages. Accordingly, the company maintains its commitment to continually improve their skills, capacities, commitment and motivation, always with the highest attention to work and safety conditions.

In addition to the above, other Key resources include a large fleet of mobile plant and equipment wholly owned by the company. This has enabled us to undertake many notable projects successfully. The company continues to renew its construction plant and equipment to guarantee future success.

These clients include National Authorizing Officer of the European Development Fund, Uganda National Roads Agency, Ministry of Works and Transport, Ministry of Water and Environment, Ministry of Local Government, and Kampala Capital City Authority among others.

Founded in 1991 as a family business, the company is led by Pius Mugalaasi Mugerwa an engineer and alumnus of Leeds University, United Kingdom. The company employs 200 people at full capacity. The company has always embraced changes within the industry and thrived on innovation, continuous improvement and best practice and it has developed into a dynamic and forward thinking Company.

The Management of Omega Construction is committed to the establishment, proper implementation and continual improvement of the Occupational Health and Safety Management System. Priority objective is ensuring safe workplaces and continual elimination of identified hazards as well as assessment and control of possible risks in the execution of the employees' tasks. In executing works within the activity of the Company, the Management and the bodies of the Company take measures for full compliance with all relevant laws and regulations pertaining to preservation and protection of the environment.
